When you look outside, it is hard to believe it is January! Sunny skies and no snow on the ground looks as if that will be the continuing trend heading throughout the rest of the weekend. Lows will only be dropping to the 20s tonight (similar to last night) and then for your Sunday skies will be mostly sunny. High temperatures for Sunday look to be in the upper 30s/lower 40s again remaining above average for yet another day.
The warmth doesn’t seem to want to pack up and leave quite yet. Monday and Tuesday will be even warmer than Saturday and Sunday as most of north Iowa and southern Minnesota should be having highs in the 40s for both days. A strong cold front is planning on ruining these consecutive warm days as it slides through on Wednesday and brings us mostly cloudy skies and even a chance for flurries. Most of the precipitation looks to remain to the north and south of us as this front won’t have a lot of moisture associated with it. If the pattern holds up, we could have the 30s return again by this time next week!
